Online Service – March 29th
All Hope Community Church meetings are suspended for the time being in light of the coronavirus pandemic
Following government advice, advice from the FIEC, and in agreement with the school, we are suspending all our gatherings as a church for the foreseeable future.
This decision affects all our church meetings:
- Sunday services at Teversham Primary school
- our homegroups
- wow, classic and vintage and all other church groups.
Having said this, we are looking at ways of continuing to meet together ‘online’. The Bible is clear that meeting together is a vital part of our Christian lives, and is there to encourage us and bring us joy even through difficult days (Hebrews 10:24-25).
If you are a regular at Hope you will have received communication about how this is going to happen. We hope in future weeks we will be able to make church accessible to a wider group, especially those who might be reflecting on the bigger questions of life right now.
The best way of looking at this decision to stop meeting together for a season is as an act of service to the people around us, in particular the most vulnerable. This is a decision motivated by love for others, and not by fear.
When Jesus said that he will always be with us, he meant it (Matthew 28:18-20). None of us is alone during this time. The God of all love, compassion and grace is with us. Let’s encourage one another with that great truth in the days ahead.
Join us on Sunday at 11 am
at Teversham Church of England Primary School
on Church Road, Teversham.
All are welcome.
