The church is led by Al MacInnes and Tony Sharpe.

Alistair MacInnes and his wife Rachel have been part of Hope Community Church since it began in 2007. In order to be more fully a part of the community they moved from Cambridge into the village two years ago. They have two children, Charis and Lois. Al was enjoying teaching Science and RE at a secondary school in the Midlands before sensing a call to full-time Bible ministry. He served as a staff worker with UCCF (The Christian Union movement) for five years helping student leaders in universities and colleges in the South West to grow in their faith and tell others the good news of Jesus. After that Al & Rachel returned to East Anglia (they grew up in Bury St Edmunds!) for Al to work as the Church Evangelist at Rock Baptist Church in Cambridge and Rachel to work with the Christian mission agency SIM. After helping to plant Hope Community Church Al shared his time between Rock and the plant until Hope became fully independent. Al has led several university missions and both he and Rachel have been involved in several overseas mission trips in Europe, Asia and Africa. Al did his undergraduate theology at Oak Hill College and has subsequently received a MTh in Scripture and Theology from Wales Evangelical School of Theology in 2012. In his spare time Al is involved with a badminton club, enjoys eating out and spending time with the family, and is passionate about sport, of most types, especially cricket and athletics.

Tony will need no introduction to anyone who has lived in Teversham for many years. He has been resident here for over forty years and has been part of the church that has met in the chapel all of that time. He is involved with various aspects of community life and is currently chair of governors at Teversham Primary School.
