Parenting Course

Most parents feel the need for some support and encouragement from time to time. For three consecutive Sunday evenings in January and February 2013 Hope Community Church ran a parenting course at Teversham Primary School and at the Chapel in Teversham High Street. Hope  Community Church is involved with the after school Bible Club, school assemblies, runs Little Hoppers toddlers group and is based at Teversham Chapel.

The course was hosted by Al and Rachel MacInnes. Al is the pastor of Hope Community Church and he and his wife Rachel have two children – (aged 3 & 6 months), one of them at Teversham Playgroup. Most of the course was led by Matthew and Alison Evans who are also members at Hope. Alison is the head teacher of a local Primary School and Matthew works for a national Christian organisation. They have two grown up children. The course will use tried and tested material developed by Ann Benton, author of ‘Aren’t they Lovely when they’re Asleep?’

There were lots of positive comments from those who completed the course:

‘Been fab – thanks…’

‘Helpful and encouraging as I’m in the midst of parenting three children!’

‘Very well done – lots of interesting concepts and ideas…’
